Looking for an image...

Hello, Let me preface this by saying that I am not a user of Chimera, I just find the images it creates interesting. My name is Dave and I have a metal band we have named Entropathy. Don't go looking for us on the internet, we aren't anywhere yet, just a bunch of guys in my studio making loud crazy music. The band name is a mashup of Entropy and the suffix "pathy" a condition we have defined as "A degenerative fixation on the ultimate disintegration of all matter". I was surfing the internet looking for some kind of images that would fit as an album cover and came across a few of Chimera's images. I was wondering if you might have some older images sitting around nobody has licensed that might be considered an artistic rendering of molecular entropy. We don't really have any money to spend, but I thought I would reach out and see if you had something that would be of interest to us and would not be an issue to share. Thank you for your time, David Cohen Progammer, Writer, Musician, Dad (not necessarily in that order) djcohen66@gmail.com

Hi David, Hmmm, well, here are a couple of wacky images … distorted views of this protein structure, a bacterial enzyme: <https://www.rcsb.org/structure/1ire> I don’t know that they really convey entropy, but they look kind of like an explosion, which is one route to disintegration. Anyway, if you end up using either, we just request that you credit Chimera for the image. <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/credits.html> Best, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Thanks so much Elaine, I think I may use the second one, though I might change the background to black or a field of stars and try to soften the edges a bit. And I would be happy to credit the Chimera project. Thanks again! David C. Thanks Elaine, Ok, final edit I think, Thanks so much. I cleaned it up, increased the contrast on the starfield, and softened the edges of the chimera portion of the image a bit to make it look a bit more...disintigratey...lol If you are interested I will send you a link to the album when it is complete. No clue if hardcore metal is your thing, but it will be a conversation piece I suppose😊. Take care and happy molecular imaging 😊.
