Dear Sir, I guess blue represents N-terminal of protein in rainbow coloring and would like know the indication of other colors in rainbow scheme of chimera for protein structure. Thanks & regards *Ramesh M* Email: shreeramesh@gmail.com Mobile: (91) + 9646469938 (27) + (0) 844556164
Dear Ramesh M, There is no specific meaning except N-term is blue, C-term is red, and all of the other colors are in between, in a specific order. It is just a way to help the eye to follow the chain from N-term to C-term. “The default colors are blue, cyan, green, yellow, and red, in that order." <http://plato.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/rainbow/rainbow.html> I hope this helps, Elaine ---------- Elaine C.
