Guidance in finding Interactive Aminoacids with a ligand

Respected Sir, I am unable to find the interactive aminoacids with the ligand present in a protein. Please guide me how to determine interatcive aminoacids. Awaiting a positive reply Yours Sincerely, Shreyas M Iyer

Dear Shreyas M Iyer, The address for Chimera questions is chimera-users@cgl.ucsf.edu (not chimera-bugs). Try going through this tutorial for an example of finding H-bonds and contacts between protein and ligand: <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/tutorials/squalene.html> (Or, if you don’t want to go through the whole tutorial, you can just go through the first two parts, 1: Background and Setup, and 2: Distances, H-Bonds, Contacts.) Best, Elaine ---------- Elaine C. Meng, Ph.D. UCSF Computer Graphics Lab (Chimera team) and Babbitt Lab Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry University of California, San Francisco
