In continuation to my previous question, Is it possible to use chimera in virtual screening?

Hi Snoze, Chimera does not do the docking/scoring step. There are features in Chimera for preparing the molecules (hydrogen and charge addition, etc.) and for visually screening the output from DOCK: Dock Prep: http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/dockprep/ dockprep.html ViewDock: http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/viewdock/ framevd.html Our focus in Chimera has been more on interactive/graphical features rather than computationally intensive, noninteractive methods. Those methods often represent many years of detailed development by other labs, with programs freely available. However, Chimera continues to evolve ... Best, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
