Dear Chimera developer, I tried to use the animation to make movies. However, after recoding the output movie could not be seen (Can play but nothing shown). I was wondering what could be the issue? Thank you, Yangqi Sent from Mail for Windows 10

Dear Yangqi, It’s impossible to tell from such limited information because there are many factors and many movie-file options. All I can say is to review the information in the “making movies” page, <http://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/UsersGuide/movies.html> … including “Problems in PowerPoint” (near the bottom). It also says "The graphics window should be adjusted to the desired dimensions before recording, for example with the command windowsize. Using a small and standard size (320 x 240, 640 x 480, or 800 x 600 pixels) may solve some playback problems. On certain platforms, other windows should not overlap the Chimera graphics window during recording…” with a link for more details. It’s also possible that the issue is with the player, if your software is old. Elaine ----- Elaine C.
