Hello Estrella, We have a visiting scholar from Spain, and the 1.5.3rc Chimera works on his Spanish Windows 7 64-bit laptop. So my guess is that your system is missing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 runtime libraries that Chimera needs to work. They are available from Microsoft at <http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=a5c84275-3b97-4a... <http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=a5c84275-3b97-4ab7-a40d-3802b2af5fc2&displaylang=en>>.
