Hello, After segmentation of a 3D map into 16 subunits and assign different colors, the saved .seg map does not save the color. During the preparation of our recent paper, we had to assign the color each time we open the .seg (hundreds of times), which make me very upset, even angry sometime. If the guy writing the program allow us to save the assigned color, that would have saved us many times. Thanks! Jim

Hi Jim, That is a bug. The segmentation actually does save the colors. The problems is if you use the Actions / Color menu it changes the color that is displayed, but the color that the region remembers is not updated -- stays at the old color. I'll try to fix that tomorrow. Send us your Chimera problems and we'll fix them fast if we can. Sorry you had to do that tedious recoloring so many times. Hi Jim, Fixed saving of Chimera segmentation files so it uses the region colors you have chosen. Fix will be in tonight's Chimera daily builds and also in Chimera 1.8 unless we release Chimera 1.8 today (in which case it would only make it into daily builds and 1.9).
