Not sure what you mean by points and faces. Maybe you should include a picture of what it looks like in ChimeraX and what the OBJ looks like. Also try opening the OBJ in ChimeraX. If the OBJ looks ok in ChimeraX then the problem is with whatever software you are using to open the OBJ. You should also say what software you are using.
