Hi Elaine,

I used the command line with the following command to save the image:

C:/Users/philm/Desktop/Pv-T-pLDDT-2x3-300dpi.png format png width 900 height 600 pixelSize 300 supersample 3

The ChimeraX response was: Unknown command.  Except for the "format png" and "pixelSize 300" items, the command was the same as I obtained when I used the File...Save dialog box.  An idea what is not working here?

As always, thanks for the help.

Phil

Hi Phil,
Maybe you are looking at the Chimera help pages?  Chimera and ChimeraX are different.

In ChimeraX, use menu: File... Save and then change the file type to the image format of choice (e.g. PNG image, TIFF image, whichever you wanted).  Then there will be a place in the dialog to type in the size of the image (width and height).  Size is in pixels.  If you want 300 dpi (dots per inch, as in pixels per inch) you also need to know how many inches wide and high you intend the image to be.  If 2 x 3 inches, then you need 600 x 900 pixels.

Also you can use the "save" command which has similar width and height options, again in the units of pixels.

The various image-saving options also shown in the dialog are explained in the "save" command help link above.

I hope this helps,
Elaine
