Hello, You could do a search of the PDB with its sequence by using the ChimeraX tool Blast Protein (menu: Tools... Sequence... Blast Protein). Open the structure, then start this tool, and then choose the structure chain as the "Query" ... for more details see the Blast Protein help: <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/tools/blastprotein.html> Even if there isn't an exact match you would get a list of the PDB structures with similar sequences. I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Meng, Ph.D. UCSF Chimera(X) team Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry University of California, San Francisco

Dear ChimeraX users,
I have a pdb structure of membrane protein without any information about it. Is it possible to use some chimera-X tool to identify the name of this protein and find its pdb code in pdb database ?
Many thanks in advance
