FYI, it turned out that 3D stereo used to work, but that a Nvidia graphics driver update reset the settings. So the solution was to go to the Nvidia control panel and re-enable 3D stereo. -- Greg On 9/9/2022 10:10 AM, Greg Couch via ChimeraX-users wrote:
In particular, sequential stereo requires a workstation graphics card that can output alternating left eye and right eye images. Currently those are Nvidia Quadro and AMD Radeon PRO graphics cards that have 3D Stereo support. You also need to connect the graphics card to a suitable display, like a 3D TV, or 3D projector, and have the matching eye wear.

Hi Krishnan, It is saying you do not have the hardware for sequential stereo. So it is not a ChimeraX error as far as we know. However, if you believe you have the hardware for sequential stereo you can use Help... Report a Bug.
Maybe you can use one of the other kinds of stereo. <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/camera.html>
