To allow ChimeraX to access your desktop folder, open System Preferences and click on Security & Privacy. From the list on the left, choose File and Folders. Then ChimeraX should be listed among the applications on the right. Make sure that Desktop Folder under ChimeraX is checked. You may have to click the lock icon at the lower left of the panel to make changes.

During installation, it asked me to allow access to desktop files and I said NO.

But now, when I try to create a SpinMovie file, I get the message: Permission denied reading directory "/Users/pam/Desktop" while trying to determine next unused file name movie#.mp4.

I guess I should have said YES to the question above.

How can I fix this?
