Dear Ahmed Morsy, In addition to Greg's previous answer to please use menu: Help... Report a Bug, <https://mail.cgl.ucsf.edu/mailman/archives/list/chimerax-users@cgl.ucsf.edu/...> ...I would add: Are the prompts to update ChimeraX itself or some plugins to ChimeraX? When you download ChimeraX from our website, it doesn't include the third-party plugins that you may have gotten separately, such as from the Toolshed. If the message is to update the plugins from the Toolshed, the dialog should have links to click to update them, and if you do that it should not ask again unless the plugin developers update them again. Maybe you can include a screenshot of the messages as an attachment when you use menu: Help... Report a Bug. I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Dear ChimeraX Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to ask for help with an ongoing issue I've been having with ChimeraX. Despite having downloaded and installed the most recent version of ChimeraX, I continually receive prompts to update the software each time I launch it. This occurs even though I am certain I am running the latest version.
Could you please help me understand why this might be happening, and advise on how to resolve this issue? It would be helpful if you could provide steps or recommendations to ensure that the software recognizes the current version installed on my system.
Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your prompt response.
Best regards, Ahmed Morsy
