Hi Dmityr,
Also, why can't you upgrade ChimeraX on the other PC?  PCs capable of running older versions of ChimeraX should be able to run newer versions.  If you need that particular older version for some reason, you don't have to uninstall it -- multiple versions of ChimeraX can be installed side by side without conflict.

Hi Dmitry,

There is no way to save a session in a new ChimeraX so that it will open in an old ChimeraX.  But sessions saved by old ChimeraX will open in newer ChimeraX.  So ChimeraX sessions are "backward compatibility" but not "forward compatible".  The reason is because newer ChimeraX versions have new features and new data attributes that the old ChimeraX cannot handle.

Dear colleagues,

I made a session (cxs) in the newest ChimeraX. It contains the models only.

How can I open it in the older ChimeraX version?
Maybe I can save the session in a different format to be able to open with the older version?

Unfortunately, I cannot update the older version on one PC.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Dmitry
