For Ubuntu and CentOS/RHEL, there are two different release streams, ucsf-chimerax for the production releases and ucsf-chimerax-daily for the daily releases.  You can install both and they won't conflict.  If you install a newer version of one of those packages, it will update the existing one.  The daily releases are invoked by running "chimerax-daily" and the production releases are invoked by running "chimerax".

Just wanted to reach out to see if there is a clean way to replace one's current ChimeraX with the daily-build (specifically Ubuntu). Is it best to uninstall/the prior and just install the desired version?

Thank you for any thoughts!
