Hi Vis, You should use the "coordset" command to play back the trajectory (not the GUI play button) and put it into a command script file along with the "movie" commands. You can also include other commands in your script if you want other things to happen in the movie. See "movie" and "coordset" commands: <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/movie.html> <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/coordset.html> See the "making movies" page: <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/movies.html> See the ChimeraX morphing highlight, which includes the command script used to record the morph trajectory (same approach would be used to record an MD trajectory): <https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/features.html#morphing> More about command scripts (.cxc. files): <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/usageconventions.html#cxc-...> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Dear all,
Is there a way to change frame rate when I hit that red "record" button when playing MD trajectory?
I could do "movie record", but then it becomes interactive (I hit triangle "play", and then "movie encode /Users/visvaldas/Desktop/movie.mp4 framerate 5"), so inadvertently can record some undesired frames.
Of course I probably can reduce framerate using external programs, but how to that non-interactively in ChimeraX?
Best regards,
