Glad to hear you got it working.  And thank you for the link to libffi6.  We plan to have a native Ubuntu 20.04 version soon.

There are lots of reasons why your ChimeraX might be slow.  Maybe you have too many other programs running and are running out of memory, or you have NVIDIA graphics and are using the open source driver instead of the  proprietary one, or your using an underpowered laptop, or ....  For us to give you a good guess instead of a random guess, please use ChimeraX's Help / Report a Bug dialog to send us some basic information about your computer and how it is configured (use a recent daily build since there have been recent improvements in the information gathering).

Greg,
Installed it successfully with Ubuntu 20.04 AFTER I found where to get libffi6.

I got it here:
https://packages.ubuntu.com/eoan/amd64/libffi6/download
mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu

Now the only problem is that it runs very slow when fetching a PDB file locally.
I think that my graphics is slow.
Thoughts?
Thank you,
John

Please try the Ubuntu 18.04 version, there's a good chance it will work on 20.04.  And please let everyone know if it works or not.  I will look into building a 20.04 version.
