I am using a Dell Alienware 13 r3, which also has a GTX1050Ti, as a mobile VR notebook. It works fine with chimerax and the Vive Pro and does not crash. If I remember correctly, it was not enough to set the NVIDIA Optimus driver to use the GTX, but I had to disable the Intel graphics in the BIOS as well - maybe not best for energy saving, but it worked...

I tried both 0.7 and the new 0.8 (not daily).

On my other laptop, an old Macbook pro it run perfectly.
