Hi Suzanne, That is most likely a limitation of the Blender GLTF file reader. ChimeraX puts vertex colors into the gltf file bur probably Blender only handles texture colors. You can see the colors are in the file if you open the GLTF in ChimeraX it will show you the colors. You can reduce the GLTF file size in ChimeraX by reducing the quality of the graphics using the "graphics quality" command. https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/graphics.html#quality <https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/graphics.html#quality> That can reduce the number of triangles used for atoms, bonds and ribbons. For surfaces the standard molecular surface (solvent excluded) is very detailed.
