Hi Yanyong, I suggest you use "cd browse", which will bring up a file browser where you can specify the folder you want to change to. Alternatively, you can type "cd " and then drag and drop a folder from the Windows File Explorer onto the command line, which will put the text for the folder name into the command. For the latter to work properly if the path to the folder has spaces in it anywhere, you will have to use the 1.2 release candidate or the daily build. --Eric Eric Pettersen UCSF Computer Graphics Lab

You don't have to save all files there, however; instead you can give a pathname in the "save" command, e.g.
save ~/Desktop/a.png [... other options ...]
(Desktop folder under user's home directory on a Mac; would be different for other systems)
Or you can use the ChimeraX "cd" command to change the current location, e.g.
cd ~/Desktop save a.png [... other options ...]
