Yes the Ctrl-click works – seems strange to have buried this often used command away from the menus.

HI Sherwood,
There is no "Copy" in the ChimeraX main Edit menu.  Are you seeing some information that says there is?

The context menu in the Sequence Viewer window (right-click or Ctrl-click in that window to show a context menu, depending on what kind of computer you have) includes Edit.... Copy Sequence... as described here in the help:
