Subject: Re: [chimerax-users] Selecting a webcam

Hi Józef,

Unfortunately the webcam command is just taking the first camera in a list.

I've added a "name" option to the webcam command in tonight's ChimeraX builds to specify which camera you want.  To figure out the camera names first try the webcam command without the name option and it will report the available cameras.  Then close the web camera model and rerun webcam with the camera name you want, for example,

# Close web cam model.

close #2

webcam name "FaceTime HD Camera (Built-in)"

Hi,

If I have multiple webcams installed on my laptop how would I select a specific webcam to use with the webcam command?

Thanks,

Józef
