Hi Karoline, The command to change selection highlight outline settings is "graphics selection" e.g. graphics selection color red width 3 See <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/graphics.html#selection> However, you have to keep that part selected or these will go away. That is the only way you can have outlines that are for only parts of models, and there is only one selection at a time (you can't have different ones with different colors/widths... if you want to do that you have to save an image and then edit it in some other program like Gimp or Photoshop to add the outlines). The "graphics silhouette" command is for the outlines of a whole model and are not related to selection. So you could have silhouettes on whole model(s) with one color, and also one other set of selection outlines that may include parts of model(s). I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Hi everyone,
I have a question about the graphical representation of my model in ChimeraX. Here, I have colored individual proteins and to make them even more visible, I would like to increase the line thickness of the silhouette of these proteins. But when I try this with the combination of the keyword graphic silhouette and sel, I don't get anywhere. Is there any way to change the line thickness of individual selections without changing the line thickness of the silhouette of the entire model?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Best Karoline
