      But that is actrually not my point. I mean where to find the options like subdivide surface/surface smoothing iterations factor...(fig in the chimera)

Hello,
When you are showing volume data there is automatically a Volume Viewer panel included in the window.  Near the right end of it above the histogram is a menu, probably says "surface" if the map is currently shown as a surface -- click on that to show menu and choose "mesh" instead.

Or you can use a command, e.g.

volume all style mesh
