I'm glad you like it. :-). You can use "browse" (and drag and drop) in any command that wants a file or folder, such as "open" -- though for open you would probably just drop the file on the main graphics window to open it (unless you needed to specify additional keywords to the open command).

Hi Yanyong,
I suggest you use "cd browse", which will bring up a file browser where you can specify the folder you want to change to.  Alternatively, you can type "cd " and then drag and drop a folder from the Windows File Explorer onto the command line, which will put the text for the folder name into the command.  For the latter to work properly if the path to the folder has spaces in it anywhere, you will have to use the 1.2 release candidate or the daily build.

Hi Yanyong,
ChimeraX has a "pwd" command to report the current working directory.  The file would go there.

You don't have to save all files there, however; instead you can give a pathname in the "save" command, e.g.

save ~/Desktop/a.png [... other options ...]

(Desktop folder under user's home directory on a Mac; would be
different for other systems)

Or you can use the ChimeraX "cd" command to change the current location, e.g.

cd ~/Desktop
save a.png  [... other options ...]

commands/cd.html__;!!KDurfCY!r2bKZ15iwl_w6CwhllQCA7WGll8LYjPc7lYUrdoAP

If you are on a Mac I believe ~/Desktop is already the default location.
I hope this helps,
Elaine
