Glad the REST interface is proving useful for you! I'm not 100% sure if you want the entire sequence of a chain, or instead a selected fragment. There's no good way to get the latter through the REST interface. However, you can use "info chains" to get the entire sequence of chains. In particular, "info chains attribute characters" will report the sequences of all chains in all models. In current builds, you cannot get just the sequence of a single chain, but starting with tomorrow's release candidate and daily build you will be able to get the sequence of a particular chain (e.g. V) with: "info chains /V attribute characters".
