ChimeraX is indeed wonderful, and a good part of my work would be difficult or impossible without it. Been silently enjoying it for a while, but I agree it deserves more visible praise!

One thing I believe is particularly strong in ChimeraX is its documentation: having it fully available from within the program itself is extremely helpful, and the quality of the documentation itself is impressive. This makes it my first choice when teaching these skills to colleagues and students, because I know if I first teach them how to answer their own questions, they will become autonomous much more easily. And there is actually no second choice, because I have not used any other program for years now and can hardly remember how to do anything with other programs.

So thank you so much to the entire team!

Cheers,

Guillaume

Dear Reza,
Thanks so much for taking the time to pen this wonderful note.  In the challenging times we're living in, any ray of sunshine is much appreciated.  As for the future, we are working hard cutting down the list of missing Chimera features, and Tom Goddard is working on interface improvements for running back-end structure-prediction programs like Boltz and AlphaFold.

Even though it is free for academic users, this email is the least I should do after so many hours that I have enjoyed using it. The interface is great. The diverse set of features and modules are awesome. And the command line and scripting capabilities are so intuitive and easy to use.
