Hi Alan, (1) There are commands for reporting various settings in the Log. Often there is a "list" keyword if you have named items like custom colors or saved positions, whereas some other commands simply report the current settings if you give the command without any keywords, e.g. commands: lighting graphics clip list view list view matrix volume settings color list custom See their respective help pages for details of what you get with each. <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/index.html#commands> (2) Another idea is to just open that previous session, use "close" to close all the models or just the ones that won't be in the new session (not "close session" because that would erase more settings), and open the new models to see whether that retains some of the settings that you wanted. Is there a way to get ChimeraX to return these values (or indeed, all parameters) for the current session? I imagine this might be useful generally too.
