Thanks Tom! I think my brain once held that piece of information (perhaps before "bring" existed as an option), but I had definitely forgotten about it. This does exactly what I need it to. Thank you for telling me about it (again?). (I still think "bring" would be nice with "align") Cheers, Alexis On Mon, Aug 4, 2025 at 1:30 PM Tom Goddard <goddard@sonic.net> wrote:
Hi Alexis,
Did you know the "view position" command can move models to have the same positioning as another model?
view position #2 sameAs #1
will update the placement of model #2 to match the position and orientation of model #1. My match the position and orientation I mean that if model #1 has been rotated and translated a certain amount relative to its initial position (by any means) the this command will rotate and translate model #2 by the same amount relative to model #2's initial position.

Hello,
I really love (and depend on) the "bring" option to the "matchmaker" command.
Occasionally though, I have to fall back on "align" when I need to specify atoms that should be superposed. Would you please consider adding a "bring" option to the "align" command?
