Hi Hernando,

I just tried last night’s ChimeraX build on a new Windows 7 account and it started fine.  Possibly your graphics driver is not adequate (requires OpenGL 3.3 core profile support or higher) — ideally it should show a warning dialog if that happened, but I have not tested that situation.  Can you run ChimeraX from a command prompt with the —debug flag and send the output to chimerax-bugs@cgl.ucsf.edu?

Hi Hernando,

This was a bug in ChimeraX, probably recently introduced where it fails the first time you try to start it because its toolshed cache file does not exist.  I’ve fixed it — in tonight’s build if it succeeds.  Thanks for reporting the problem.

Dear ChimeraX team,

I just downloaded/installed  ChimeraX (64 for windows, latest daily build  &  PC running Windows 7)  but when starting the programs hangs  with the message Initializing Core and an image of the group (Nice picture though!).   Anything I should do differently?  (Chimera 11.2 runs fine in the same computer).

Thanks

Hernando
