Hi Fabienne, For whatever release you have, go to the ChimeraX download page and in the “Notes” section of the table for that release click the “More Info…” triangle to see what size the download is and compare it to the size that the Mac Finder reports for the file you downloaded. Are those sizes the same? --Eric Eric Pettersen UCSF Computer Graphics Lab

Hi Fabienne, The current ChimeraX version will not run on MacOS Sierra (10.12). It requires macOS 10.14 or newer as it says on the download page. I have seen this "Image damaged" message before on a Mac and it is just a misleading error message, and really means that the ChimeraX app includes the requirement for macOS 10.14 in its Info.plist file and that is not satisfied. ChimeraX 0.92 ran on macOS 10.12. We are currently on ChimeraX 1.6 so I would not recommend using 0.92 which is missing many features. But it is available under Older Releases on the download page. Apple declared 10.12 at end of life 3 years ago and stopped providing security fixes. You would be better off updating the operating system. Tom
