Saving Images with Specific Dimensions and DPI in ChimeraX
Hi, In Chimera, when saving an image, it's possible to specify the output size in centimeters and the resolution in DPI. This feature is very useful for preparing figures for theses and publications. Is it possible to do the same in ChimeraX? I've read the documentation for the save command, but it's not entirely clear to me how to achieve this. Do you have any suggestions? Best regards, Saverio
Sorry no, you just have to figure out the number pixels from that (e.g. 4 centimeters wide x 600 dpi = 2400 pixels wide) and specify that as width and/or height. You could then adjust the physical size of the image after importing it to whichever application you would be using next. Best, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Oops that would be 4 inches wide x 600 dpi = 2400 pixels wide. If centimeters, you would need to convert them to inches and then multiply by the dpi. Elaine
