Hi Chimera staff, i just changed PC ad now i have huge visualization problems of the GUI, when opening is fine but when i open any pdb file or session all buttons and commands in the window disappear. Command line actually works but all i see is this: [image: image.png] do you have any explanation? i tried different releases (0.9 official, daily builds) I'm using W10 enterprise, 64bit, intel i9 9900, UHD graphics 630. If the user interface buttons and panels do not display in ChimeraX 0.9 and the daily build then it is almost surely a graphics driver problem. Try to update your graphics driver. Tom

Hi Pascal, ChimeraX uses the Qt window toolkit for its graphical user interface. Qt is not working on your system, very likely because of a problem with your graphics driver. You may want to try an older graphics driver. There is some small possibility your ChimeraX preferences cause this problem. You could delete those preferences by removing folder C:/Users/<your-user-name>/AppData/Local/UCSF/ChimeraX This will remove your file history, command history, preferences and any extra tools you installed from the toolshed, basically getting you back to ChimeraX default settings. You can use ChimeraX menu Help / Report a Bug if you want to continue to discuss this so it this goes into our bug tracking database including your graphics driver version, that is if the GUI works enough to show the bug reporting dialog.
