Display the boundary of a density map

Hi, If a similar function to chimera to show the boundary of a density map in ChimeraX? In Chimera, it is in "Volume viewer" > "Features" > "Data display options"
"Show outline box using color" option.
Thanks! Jianhao

Hi Jianhao, In ChimeraX, you can show the outline box with any of the following: (1) in the icon toolbar across the top, click the "Map" tab, then click the icon that looks like a box <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/tools/densitymaps.html> (2) using the context menu on the Volume Viewer tool. Context menus are shown with right-click (or if Mac trackpad or single-button mouse, Ctrl-click), then you would choose "Show Outline Box" from the menu that appears. <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/tools/volumeviewer.html> (3) ChimeraX command "volume" with option "showOutlineBox true" (and if you want to change the color, see the "outlineBoxRgb" option): <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/volume.html#general> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
