Dear chimera X developers, upon trying to record a spin movie with a corresponding button I get an error: dyld: Symbol not found: _clock_gettime,Referenced from: /Volumes/ChimeraXInstaller 2/ChimeraX.app/Contents/bin/ffmpeg,Expected in: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib Typing the command manually results in the same error. I remember that the feature used to work when I first tested ChimeraX last year. Thanks for any advice.. Andrey

Hi, Andrey. This is a problem introduced when we updated our Mac build machine to a newer version of MacOS. The build system incorrectly assumes that _clock_gettime (a system function) may be found in all versions of MacOS when it was actually introduced within the last two (maybe three) releases. So if you are running 10.10 (maybe 10.11) or earlier, you will see this error. The official Apple "solution" is to update to the latest MacOS, as fixing Apple's error involves hacking on the ffmpeg (movie encoder) build process, and we really prefer not to do that.
