Hi, How to extract Map resolution range values from a resmap.mrc file for the Table 1 validation (for publication) using chimeraX? Other suggestions, using different methods to extract the map res range values are also welcome. Best

Hi Rayees, You can get min, max, and other statistics for a map using command "measure mapstats" - see: <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/measure.html#mapstats> However, I believe that is over the entire grid of the map. Not sure if that is meaningful, e.g. in the corner where no atoms are expected. If there are atoms fitted, maybe you want only the statistics of values from the atom positions? In that case see "measure mapvalues" <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/measure.html#mapvalues> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
