Which color/palette was used

Hello, I was wondering if there’s a command that reports the color/palette of a chain/model. I saved a session with the palette I wanted, but didn’t make a note of what the palette was, and I would now like to use the same palette on a different session. Thank you for your help! Maria

Hi Maria, The record of which palette or colors you used might be in your Log, since sessions include their log information. There isn't a command to report the current colors, however. If the color is shown somewhere in a color well (the square color thing in the Model panel, for example), you can click on it to open the color editor. It is the system color editor, so different on different platforms, but it will probably show the hex code of the color or something like that. Hex codes are one way to specify the color in a new command. <http://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/colornames.html> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
