perspective or orthoscopic view - how to change
Dear colleagues,
How to change the camera view for 3D map for from the perspective to orthoscopic or vice versa
Thank you
Sincerely,
Dmitry
Hi Dmitry,
"camera ortho" to change to orthographic (presumably similar for changing back to perspective
If you type "help camera" you will see all the options
Cheers Oli

Oli is exactly right, and it's "camera mono" to go back to perspective.

Dear ChimeraX community,
I am looking to make a complicated movie in ChimeraX and not just a rotation around a structure. I was wondering if there are any links or sites that you can recommend for all the useful commands/tips for making movies.

Dear Omid, I changed the "Subject" since this is a new topic...
There is a movie-making summary page in the ChimeraX User Guide:
https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/movies.html
That page lists several animation commands, and the "see also" list includes links to movie-making tutorials.
One of the examples is this "morphing movie" feature highlight, which includes the ChimeraX command scripts (.cxc files) that were used. https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/features.html#morphing
Normally you would do all the setup once, then save a session, then iteratively develop a series of commands that would execute (and eventually record) the movie content starting from that session. https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/save.html#session
I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Meng, Ph.D. UCSF Chimera(X) team Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry University of California, San Francisco

If more examples can be of any help, you can find here some scripts of movies I made: https://github.com/Guillawme/chimerax-viz
