Hi there, I recently installed ChimeraX and been trying to figure out a way to colour a cryo-EM map by radius- however, I couldn't find a way to get this done? Is this feature not implemented on ChimeraX as yet? Is there a way to colour the map by using a python script? Many thanks Nadishka P.S. Must say that this new version is a huge improvement!

Hi Nadishka, Although it is a planned feature, radial coloring is not yet implemented in ChimeraX. Currently you can color surfaces by map value and by zone, but not by distance from a point or axis. Types of coloring summarized here: <http://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/color.html> Glad you like ChimeraX! Elaine ----- Elaine C.
