Hi Tom, What formats are you planning to support for exporting scenes? Many thanks, Mike Goodstadt mikegoodstadt@gmail.com skype: mikegoodstadt +34 653 756 614

There is limited X3D output right now. Just "save filename.x3d" to an exported X3D file. Which export formats are you interested in? -- Greg On 12/8/2017 12:24 PM, Mike Goodstadt wrote:

Hi Mike, Not sure what your use case is for exporting scenes. Currently ChimeraX exports limited OBJ, stl, gltf, x3d as generic 3d surface formats listed in the documentation under the save command: https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/save.html <https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/save.html> We have looked at Collada, FBS, VRML, 3mf. There is unfortunately no universally supported format for 3d models, probably OBJ comes the closest. Tom
