Dear Colleagues do you think chimeraX could run on mac el capitan (10.11) or it requires the version above ? many thanks Bruno -- Dr. Bruno Villoutreix, PhD Structural Bioinformatics-Molecular Medicine, Chemoinformatics DR1 Inserm Head Inserm-Paris 7 Unit U973 Therapeutic molecules in silico (MTi) Inserm U973 - Lamarck Building 35 rue Helene Brion 75013 PARIS In silico tools and databases and more in my updated website : http://www.vls3d.com <http://www.vls3d.com/>

Hi, Bruno. The answer is a weak "yes". The problem is caused by Apple's way of dealing with backwards compatibility that is incompatible with most common practices. We have made the main ChimeraX application run on 10.11, but some parts (like opening HDF files or making movies) will not work on 10.11. They do work on 10.12 and newer. Sorry.
