color a surface by volume data

Dear all, I have been searching in the documentation for quite a while and I haven t yet found the solution of how we can in chimeraX color a surface/volume by a volume data like in chimera ... i.e: local resolution map in cryo-em... in chimera: volume viewer/Tools/Surface color/color suface by is it possible to do so in ChimeraX? Any Help would be really appreciated! Thanks also for the amazing software ! Best Bertrand

Hi Bert, Glad you like ChimeraX! Coloring by map value is an option of the “color” command: <http://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/color.html#map> For example, if the main density map shown as an isosurface is #1 and the local resolution map is #2, color sample #1 map #2 palette rainbow I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
