Dear All, Is there a save scene command in ChimeraX? Thanks, Priyanka

Hi Priyanka, There is no scene saving/restoring in ChimeraX yet. This is listed in the "missing features" section in the ChimeraX download page. <https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/download.html> The "view name" command saves a view (which is only the positions, not other stuff that is in a scene like display style, colors etc.) in the current working ChimeraX, but it does not save a file. So if you want to quit from ChimeraX and restart and then be able to go to that view again using the "view" command, you have to also save a session (.cxs file) after you save the view. You can have several different views saved in the session file. Then when you restore the session by opening the cxs file, you will be able to use "view" to restore any of those views included in the session file. See the help for "view" <http://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/view.html#name> Saving sessions <http://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/save.html#session> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
