Dear Chimeras members, I obtained some docking results from swiss dock, unfortunately my result.dock4 document is not readable in chimerax, I did not achieve to open it. Is it something special I have to do? Because, on the website it is written that we can directly upload it and it will work but for me chimerax did not recognize my .dock4 document. What should I do? Thank for the answer, Aurelie Hoeffel

Dear Aurelie, First make sure you have a version of ChimeraX that is not too old. We recommend the most recent version, 1.8. Next, I don't know what kind of file "dock4" is and so the ViewDockX tool in ChimeraX probably does not know either. ChimeraX will read the "pdb" format from SwissDock. If dock4 is really PDB format maybe you need to change the name of the file to end in ".pdb" -- however, if it is not PDB format, that will not help. Look in the Swissdock output to see if there is anything named ".pdb" Finally, when you open it in ChimeraX you have to say "format swissdock" in the "open" command, for example: open swissdock-output.pdb format swissdock This is described in the ViewDockX help page: <https://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/tools/viewdockx.html> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
