question about lighting options

Hi, I am wondering whether there is a simple way in ChimeraX to set one point (or atom) as a light source, which could allow for the shadows cast by the surrounding atoms to be visualized? Thanks for your help, Ryan

Hi Ryan, The "lighting" command allows setting the directions of the key light and fill light. However, although directional, these lights are not point sources. ChimeraX does not have an option for point light sources. <http://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/lighting.html> I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
