Please find enclosed the announcement for open Principal Investigator positions at CeMM, the Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna. We are looking for MDs and/or PhD scientists to start in 2015, either at their first independent appointment or already at the consolidation stage to apply their expertise close to a clinical setting in a highly stimulating research environment.

CeMM is one of the best places candidates should consider to advance their basic, medical-oriented research. Within our short life, based on our super-cooperative research mode and –omics technologies, we have already identified the missing cancer gene in myeloproliferative neoplasms (Klampfl et al. NEJM 2013), a new cancer pathway with a new drug (Huber et al. Nature 2014), as well as the molecular basis for acute macular degeneration (Weismann et al. Nature 2011).
