Dear Andrej,

I would like to draw your attention to the opening for a group leader position in the Cell Biology and Biophysics Unit at EMBL Heidelberg, as recently advertised in Nature and Science.

We are looking for outstanding junior scientists with a background in biology, physics, chemistry or mathematics that want to pursue original and interdisciplinary research in cutting edge molecular cell biology, especially also in the areas of image analysis and/bioimage informatics and computational modelling of complex dynamic biological processes.

We generally hire group leaders early in their careers, often after their first postdoc and sometimes immediately after their PhD, and provide them with very generous internal support and a highly collaborative environment for their first independent position. We therefore strongly encourage highly promising young and particularly also female candidates to apply.

I would very much appreciate if you could bring the attached advertisement to the attention of suitable candidates or let me know if I should contact them personally.

Thanks so much for help with this recruitment,

All the best,
Jan
