To: Brian Shoichet <shoichet@cgl.ucsf.edu>

dear brian

hope all is well. i need your help in identifying a suitable candidate - given that yours is one of the few places that combines
computational with experimental. we have an opening for a person with 4-5 years postdoctoral experience to
set up a small lab here in our institute in singapore. here is the ad i am planning on putting out.

many thanks for your help and if you could suggest some other labs i could write to, will be much obliged.

regards

chandra

A position is available for a team leader with a background in chemical biology
to start a small group combining computational and experimental methods
for screening small molecules against targets of therapeutic interest. The person will have at least 5-6 years of postdoctoral experience in this area. The institute has a variety of teams pursuing computational studies combining them
with experimental work. The candidate will be expected to develop their own research program as well as work with other teams in setting up assays to test hypotheses generated. There are several opportunities to collaborate with academic, pharmaceutical and clinical groups in Singapore.
The position will be in the Division of Modelling & Design in the Bioinformatics Institute (A*STAR)
Please submit a resume and a research proposal and have 3 letters of
reference sent to
bettyk@bii.a-star.edu.sg and to chandra@bii.a-star.edu.sg.
Informal enquiries may be made from chandra@bii.a-star.edu.sg
