Dear colleagues and friends,

I would like to bring to your attention a new Research Scholar Program that we have recently established at the School of Life Sciences at the EPFL.

In a nutshell, the idea is to attract outstanding fresh PhD graduates to join our Faculty straight after their doctoral work to head a small team of scientists, much in the spirit of analogous programs that have been put in place previously at MIT, Harvard, CSHL or UCSF, to name but a few. This is a non-tenured position that can be held up to five years.

More information about the program, including the application procedure, can be found at https://elifr.epfl.ch/. As you will see there, the deadline for application is April 1st, 2018.

If you have recently supervised promising PhD students who fit the profile, please encourage them to apply. Of course, feel free to advertise this opportunity broadly.

Sincerely,

Matteo
