Dear fellow PIs in theoretical/computational chemistry,

Please forward the following posting to any potentially interested candidates:

Beginning January 2019 or later, a senior research associate position is available in the Department of Chemistry at the Illinois Institute of Technology (in Chicago) to develop computational biochemistry methods for binding free energy calculations. Specifically, the researcher will work on FFT-based binding free energy calculations (J. Comput. Chem 2018 (39): 621-636) for protein interactions. The position will be for one year but may be extended to multiple years. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or related area, and have a strong background in computational chemistry or physics. Candidates should be capable of working independently or with others and have several publications. In addition to the research projects, other duties of the position include mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, writing papers on research conducted, and presenting research at scientific meetings.

Please send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and contact information for 2-3 references to Professor David Minh (dminh@iit.edu).

Best regards,
